Personalized race numbers when registering until June 29

Less than three weeks before the start of the Salzkammergut Trophy and again a new participant record – so far 15 percent more bikers signed up compared to 2013. Therefore more than 4,500 participants from 40 nations are expected in Bad Goisern!

When registering and paying the entry fee before June 29, 2014, every participant will receive a personalized race number. Late entry will be possible upon availability until one hour before start of each race.

On the extreme course and the 76 km distance with start in Obertraun 90 % of the starting slot are already booked. However on all other distances as well as the new “all mountain course” slots are currently still available.

Trophy Eliminator

The Trophy Eliminator guarantees spectacular sprint race in the center of Bad Goisern on Friday from 03:30 pm. Teams of four will compete, two are “eliminated” two qualify for the next round. The finals will take place at 04:30 pm were the best four women and the best four men compete for total prize money of 3.150 Euros.

Besides multiple Austrian Champion and World Cup Winner Daniel Federspiel, Samuel Gaze – winner of the World Cup Opening in Australia – has announced his coming!

Camping

For the Trophy the soccer field of SV Bad Goisern will turn into a camping site again from 7^th until the 16^th of July. On the camping site there are WCs and showers, cafeteria, a washing place for bikes as well as free WIFI access. We also recommend the beautiful camping sites in Hallstatt, Obertraun as well as Wolfgangsee.
There will be a Taxi-Shuttle from the Trophy-Partner Hotels to Bad Goisern and with the ÖBB Sonderzügen (special train shuttles) the journey plus the bike transportion to the three starting places is for free – including from the hotels along the Traunsee, in Bad Ischl, Obertraun, Bad Mitterndorf as well as from the villages in-between!

The new course map is online! Next week we will start with the sign posting. However, sections marked with dotted lines in the course map may be only biked at the race day! Please respect this restriction otherwise we will not be able to use these sections in the future!

Muni-Downhill on Sunday July 13, from 9:00 am

Besides the Muni-Marathon, taking place as part of the Salzkammergut Trophy on the 22,1 km and the 37,9 km course, there will be for the 7^th time this year a downhill race for unicyclists! The mass start for this spectacular competition will be at the Berghotel Predigstuhl and will again be rated as Austrian Championship. The daredevils will tackle a 4.1 long downhill with 500 m altitude difference along hiking trails and former toboggan run!

Bike-Expo

More than 70 exhibitors present their newest bike inventions during the Trophy weekend. Many stands offer special expo rates, free samples, sweepstakes or test bikes.

Raffle - Non Cash Prizes worth 6.500 Euros

After the winners’ ceremony there will be a raffle worth 6.500 Euros among the present participants of the Salzkammergut Trophy!

The first prize is a Panchowheels wheel set worth 2.500 Euros as well as an hotel voucher for a week holiday half board for two persons sponsored by Canary Bike.

66th International Tour of Austria in Bad Ischl

Well, it took 61 years before the Emperor’s city in the heat of the Salzkammergut became part again of the tour schedule of the Int. Österreich Rundfahrt. After 1953 and 1954, Bad Ischl will be again a stage stop for the 66^th "Tour of Austria" on the 7^th and 8^th of July.

Our Tipp! Watch the "Tour of Austria" and stay the four days until the Trophy on July 12th enjoying a short vacation in the Salzkammergut!

SCOTT Junior Trophy

So far there is a 20 % increase of kids and youngster who signed in for the SCOTT Junior Trophy! Last year more than 400 junior bikers were at the start. Every participant receives again a ginger bread medal as well as a special Trophy T-Shirt. The three winners – girls and boys – of each age group will receive a trophy. This year there will be two separate raffles – one for the age group U5 until U11 as well as one for U13 and U15. The main prizes of each raffle are a SCOTT mountain bike and a pair of Fischer Ski.

Masters EC in Bad Goisern!

Bad Goisern will host the UEC Masters EC on July 12, 2014. Eligible are all licensed bikers born 1984 or older.

Women will start in Obertraun in four different classes on a 76,0 kilometre course (2.446 altitude difference). Men will tackle for the blue European Master Jersey in seven different classes on a 119,5 (3.838 altitude difference) kilometre course.
